Wednesday 13th February 2013 was my first visit to Reading Hackspace. What I found was a hub of activity and enthusiasm. I came along with my broken laptop, hoping to get some help reflowing the GPU, however, before I knew it I was involved in a workshop on how to edit a wiki.

This wiki. I've uploaded a photo, [1].

Looking around the space, I could see plenty of interesting kit, including what looks like one or two 3D printers, a vinyl cutter and the halogen oven that I could use to melt my laptop to destruction. However, I was advised that I'd be better off using a heatgun for localised heating or an infrared system. Hmmm, time to pause for thought. Mark
